A case has been registered against three people including Kotedar (PDS food grains Distributor) for black marketing of government food grains. Also, the related quota shop has been suspended.

(Deoria) Robbing the poor became a costly affair for a Kotdar(*it's mean PDS food grain distributor). Baghauchghat police has registered a case against the Kotedar, her husband and a businessman for black marketing of government food grains. This action has been taken on the complaint of supply inspector Raghavendra Kumar. Taking immediate action, the supply department has suspended the quota shop and attached it to Baghauchghat. After registering the case, the police is busy investigating the case.

next On May 26, on the information of villagers, the police had seized three sacks of government food grains in Ahiroli village of Pathardeva block. A person was carrying food grains loaded on a bike. At the behest of the accused, the police recovered six sacks and food grains from a shop. The villagers informed this to District Supply Officer Sanjay Pandey. On May 27, the District Supply Officer sent supply inspectors Raghavendra Kumar, Praveen Pandey and Sunny Deol to the spot and got it investigated. During investigation, 100 quintals of food grains were found less in the Kotedar's warehouse. When asked about this, the Kotedar could neither give any account of the food grains nor could show the stock register. The officials also recorded the statements of the villagers. In this case, the police have registered a case under Section 3/7 of the Essential Commodities Act against Kotedar Lekh Devi, husband Rajesh Kumar and businessman Govind Gupta.
