Magistrate Ticket Checking Drive Conducted at Howrah Station

A magistrate ticket checking drive was conducted by Howrah Division on July 18, 2025, at Howrah station premises in the presence of the Railway Magistrate and in close coordination with the Assistant Commercial Manager (Coaching), Howrah.

A total of 56 ticket checking staff participated in the drive, supported by 10 personnel from the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and 1 personnel from the Government Railway Police (GRP).The drive led to the detection of 547 ticket irregularities, including 448 cases of ticketless travel. The total revenue generated through fines and penalties amounted to ₹2,72,415.
