IG-CUM-PCSC OF EASTERN RAILWAY INAUGURATED RPF LADIES BARRACK AND CONDUCTED INSPECTION AT BARDDHAMAN AND KATWA

As part of ongoing efforts to enhance the welfare infrastructure and strengthen security arrangements under Eastern Railway,Amiya Nandan Sinha, IG-cum-Principal Chief Security Commissioner (PCSC), Eastern Railway, visited Barddhaman and Katwa stations on Today

At Barddhaman, the IG-cum-PCSC was accorded a ceremonial Guard of Honour at the RPF Dog Squad premises. He was accompanied by Sr. Divisional Security Commissioner (Co), RPF, Howrah; Sr. DEN (Coordination) and Sr. DEN (3), Howrah.

During the visit, the IG-cum-PCSC inaugurated a newly constructed RPF Ladies Barrack at Barddhaman station premises, named in honour of Martyr Rama Shaknar Upadhaya. The inauguration ceremony included traditional rituals and a solemn tribute to the martyr. Special respect and recognition were extended to the family members of the martyr during the event.

Following this, the IG-cum-PCSC inspected the newly constructed RPF Barrack and presided over a Suraksha Sammelan. Addressing the gathering, he emphasized the importance of ensuring the safety and security of all Railway passengers, particularly children and senior citizens. He also took time to listen to the grievances and suggestions of RPF personnel and assured appropriate redressal.

Subsequently, IG-cum-PCSC conducted a detailed inspection of RPF Post and reviewed various registers and records, visited the CCTV Control Room, and provided important operational instructions to enhance security preparedness.

Later in the day, the IG-cum-PCSC visited Katwa station, where he inaugurated another RPF Ladies Barrack, further reaffirming Eastern Railways commitment to improving facilities for women personnel of the Railway Protection Force.
