MAGISTRATE TICKET CHECKING DRIVE YIELDS SIGNIFICANT RESULTS AT HOWRAH STATION

Kolkata a special magistrate-backed ticket checking drive was conducted by Howrah Division at Howrah station premises, aimed at curbing ticketless and irregular travel.

A total of 58 ticket checking staff, supported by 8 RPF and 2 GRP personnel, participated in the operation. The intensive drive led to the detection of 607 ticket irregularities, including 468 cases of ticketless travel.

This effort resulted in the collection of ₹2,80,690 through fines and penalties, reinforcing the division?s commitment to ensuring rule compliance and passenger accountability.
