NFR Observes Samvidhan Diwas with Unity and Commitment

The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) observed Constitution Day (Samvidhan Diwas) on 26th November at Dr. Bhupen Hazarika Sabha Griha, at its Headquarters in Maligaon, to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India. The NFR (Construction) Organisation also marked the occasion at the GM (Construction) Office, Maligaon. The day was celebrated with enthusiasm across all five divisions?Tinsukia, Lumding, Rangiya, Alipurduar and Katihar as well as at major railway stations, schools and various NFR offices.

The programme commenced with the solemn reading of the Preamble to the Constitution, led by General Manager,Chetan Kumar Shrivastava. Senior officers and employees from various departments participated enthusiastically, reaffirming their commitment to the constitutional values of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity. At the GM (Construction) Office in Maligaon, Chief Administrative Officer Construction Anjani Kumar led the gathering in taking the Pledge, underscoring the importance of upholding the guiding principles of the Constitution.

Addressing the gathering,Chetan Kumar Shrivastava highlighted the significance of the Constitution as the cornerstone of India?s democracy and emphasized the duty of every citizen and public servant to uphold and protect its principles. He also paid tribute to Dr. B. R. Ambedkar and the members of the Drafting Committee for their monumental contribution.
