NFR Observes “Swachhata Hi Seva” with Plantation & Cleanliness Drives Across Five Divisions

As part of the ongoing Swachhata Hi Seva initiative, Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) organised a series of plantation and cleanliness drives across its five divisions. The activities were conducted at railway stations, offices, railway hospitals, workshops and railway colonies with enthusiastic participation from railway officials and Safai Mitras.

The plantation drive was organised under the theme Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam symbolising a tribute to motherhood and environmental conservation. The programme also reflected NFR?s dedication to a cleaner and greener future with initiatives aimed at leaving a lasting positive impact across the Northeast. This enduring commitment to nature and humanity strongly resonated with the spirit of the initiative.

Alongside plantation, massive cleanliness activities were undertaken across railway colonies, stations and public areas of NFR. Safai Mitras and railway staff worked together to clean surroundings, remove waste and spread awareness on maintaining hygiene and a litter free environment. The campaign not only aimed at improving cleanliness but also at inspiring residents and passengers to adopt clean and sustainable practices in their daily lives.

NFR remains committed to promoting ecological balance, public health and community participation, reinforcing its role as a socially responsible organisation in line with the national mission of Swachh Bharat.
