Central Railway Mumbai Division run 193 Mail / Express trains daily in July-2025

Central Railway Mumbai Division has run a total of 5983 Mail & Express trains (including 5770 Mail & Express trains and 213 Special Trains) during the month of July-2025, against a total of 5742 Mail & Express trains (including 5585 Mail & Express trains and 157 Special Trains) during July-2024 which is an increase of 7%

This also makes an average of 193 trains run per day in the month of July-2025 as against an average of 185 trains per day in July-2024 which makes 8 additional trains daily.

The total trains run by CR, include 213 Special trains run in July-2025 as against 157 trains run in July-2024, which is an increase of 35%.

Punctuality of Mail /Express & Suburban Trains

Apart from increasing train operations, the Mumbai Division has also made substantial progress in improving train punctuality, which is a significant operational benchmark, especially given the immense volume of train traffic handled daily.

During the April to July- 2025 period, the punctuality of Mail/Express trains rose to 57%, as compared to 51% recorded in the same period last year.

Likewise, Suburban train punctuality reached 93% for the period the April to July- 2025 marginally up from 92% in the corresponding period last year.

In July- 2025 alone, Mail/Express trains recorded a punctuality of 56%, compared to 49% in July- 2024.

Suburban services saw a significant year-on-year improvement, with punctuality rising to 92% from 91?spite the incessant monsoon.
