Safety Meets Technology: Railway Safety Commissioner Pushes Cybersecurity boost for DFCCIL Operations

Prayagraj,In a push for tech-driven railway safety, Commissioner of Railway Safety (NE Circle)Pranjeev Saxena visited the DFCCIL Operation Control Centre (OCC) today, advocating robust cybersecurity, data analytics, and server record preservation amid rising digital threats.

Accompanied by Dy. CRS (Tech)Ashish Pandey and a high-level delegation, Saxena stressed the need to protect digitized operations. Ensuring the cybersecurity of our systems is not just an operational necessity?it's an imperative for the safety of those who rely on our services every day, he emphasized during in-depth discussions.

The CRS interacted with all Board Controllers of the Traffic Department, Traction Power Controller, Traction and Rolling Stock Controller, S&T Controller, Engineering Controller, and Security Control. He expressed satisfaction with their results and commended their dedicated efforts. Additionally, he reviewed the working methodologies of SCADA, TMS, Hot Axle Box Detectors, Machine Vision Inspection System, and Wheel Impact Load Detector, noting highly satisfactory outcomes.

A detailed presentation on train operations and infrastructural development in DFCCIL was delivered during the meeting.

The talks highlighted cybersecurity frameworks to shield sensitive data as DFCCIL railways go increasingly online. Data analytics emerged as another priority, with officials noting its power to refine train scheduling, maintenance, and safety. Data analytics provides the insights needed to make informed decisions that enhance efficiency while prioritizing safety.

Server record preservation took centre stage too, vital for accountability in a tech-savvy era. The visit signals DFCCILs proactive stance on modernization, blending technology with safety to secure freight corridors.

Waris, Sr. DSTE (Co)/PRYJ R.P. Kanojiya, Sr. DSO/PRYJ U.C. Shukla, Dy. CSTE/Projects/ALJN Surinder Singh, and Sr. DOM (G&G)/PRYJ Mayank Rana alongwith other senior Officers from DFCCIL and NCR were available.
