RPF Eastern Railway extends timely assistance to 79 sick passengers

The Railway Protection Force (RPF) of Eastern Railway continues to play a pivotal role in ensuring passenger safety and security across its network. Beyond their core duty of safeguarding railway property and maintaining law and order, RPF personnel have consistently demonstrated their commitment to passenger welfare through Operation Sewa.Their prompt response and compassionate approach in assisting elderly passengers, women, and those who are sick or injured have earned widespread appreciation.

From January 1 to January 31, 2025, RPF personnel provided crucial assistance to 79 sick passengers across various railway premises, stations, and trains under Eastern Railway?s jurisdiction. The division-wise breakdown of assistance rendered to the unwell passengers is as follows:

Howrah Division: 29 passengers assisted

Sealdah Division: 36 passengers assisted

Asansol Division: 4 passengers assisted

Malda Division: 10 passengers assisted
