Entrepreneur and bestselling author Tarun Raj Arora has officially declined an invitation to join Bigg Boss 20, ending weeks of speculation over his possible entry into the Salman Khan hosted reality show.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, Arora thanked the makers for considering him and called the invitation an honour. He said, however, that his focus at this stage of his journey remains firmly on entrepreneurship and institution building.

Entertainment is an influential industry, and I have immense respect for everyone who contributes to it. At this stage of my journey, however, my complete focus remains on building businesses, creating opportunities, and contributing to Indias entrepreneurial growth,he said.

The statement is Aroras first public response since his name began appearing in media reports and on social media as a possible contestant. While speculation continued to grow over the past few weeks, he chose not to comment publicly until now.

His inclusion in the rumoured list drew attention because it was unusual. Unlike most names linked to the show, Arora comes from the entrepreneurial world rather than television or digital entertainment.

A few days before releasing his statement, Arora shared an Instagram Story that has since been widely linked to his decision.

The post did not refer to Bigg Boss or the reports surrounding his name. Even so, after his official statement, many followers viewed it as consistent with the reasons he later shared publicly.

Explaining his decision, Arora said his responsibilities towards his companies, employees and clients require his complete attention. He added that every important decision he takes is guided by,long term value creation rather than short term visibility. He also said that preserving peace and ensuring the right environment for the next generation are priorities he is not willing to compromise.

Outside the entertainment space, Arora is known as an entrepreneur, the bestselling author of the Hindi book Haar Ke Us Paar and a TEDx speaker. People familiar with the development say he is currently working on his second book, which is expected to explore the journeys and experiences of Indian bureaucrats.

In the concluding part of his statement, Arora wished the Bigg Boss team success for the upcoming season and reiterated his commitment to entrepreneurship, innovation and employment generation.
