Jammu Division Ticket checking staff on Train No. 22477 returns lost luggage to passenger

Jammu.Indian Railways has recognized the exemplary professionalism and dedication of its employees. This reflects the commendable work done by railway employees in the line of duty for the benefit of passengers. In continuation of this, on 27 september a passenger travelling on Train No. 22477, the Vande Bharat train from New Delhi to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra, who completed his journey from New Delhi to Jammu, forgot his apple companys iPad and earbuds on seat number 70 of coach C16 upon disembarking at his destination station. During the checking Batti Lal Meena, a ticket checking staff member, noticed a passenger's iPad and earbuds lying on seat number 70. Demonstrating his sincerity, the ticket checking staff tracked the passenger's mobile number using HHT and contacted him, informing him about the luggage he had left behind on the train. The passenger explained that he had accidentally forgotten his luggage on his seat while alighting at his destination station. After further verification, the passenger's luggage was returned to him in the presence of the Railway Protection Force (RPF). The passenger thanked the railway and ticket checking staff for his luggage.

Regarding this commendable act, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Uchit Singhal said, "This incident is a strong example of the integrity and commitment of Indian Railways employees to passenger safety and satisfaction."
